1.How long have you been collecting shells?
此句为现在完成进行时态，表示动作从过去开始一直延续到现在，而且还将继续延续下去。有时也用来表示经常的反复的动作。现在完成进行时由“have/has been + 现在分词”构成。
eg: How long have you been learning English?
你已经学习英语多长时间了?
→ How long _________ they been _________ ?

现在完成进行时的句式：

肯定式	否定式
I/We/You/They have been working. He/She/It has been working.	I/We/You/They have not been working He/She/It has not been working.
疑问式和简略答语
Have I been working?	Yes,you have./ No,you haven’t.
Have we/you/they been working?	Yes,you/we/they have. No,you/we/they haven’t.
Has he/she/it been working?	Yes,he/she/it has. No,he/she/it hasn’t.

2. I’ve been skating for five hours.
  for 作介词，后跟表示“一段时间”的状语，表示某动作的状况延续多久了，所以要与延续性动词连用，常用于完成时态，但也可以和其他时态连用
   eg: I have been teaching for eight years. 我已经教书八年了。
       We lived there for about nine years.   我们在那儿大约住过九年。

- For two weeks.
A. borrow    B. lend    C. keep    D. buy

3. I have been skating since I was seven years old.
  since: 连词，“从…以来”,引导一个时间状语从句。
  它也可以作介词，“从…以来；自从”，后跟时间点，不能跟一段时间，常用于现在完成时或现在完成进行时。
   Eg: He has worked here since 2009.   他自从2009年就在这儿工作。
→ They have been in this city _________ three years ago.
   A. for       B. about       C. since      D. in
